Height. 20 to 30cm

Leaves. Two to twelve flowers grow on an erect stem with basal leaves .

Flowers.  Large lip that is trilobate, rounded and provided with a very strong yellow margin.

Flowering period. March - May

Soil type. Open woodland, scrub with sparse vegetation and grassland on calcareous and siliceous   soils.
